This will be my first year serving as Principal of MNTHS, I was previously the Academic Dean of the school, and prior to that, I was a PBL instructor here at Manor New Tech using innovative instructional approaches, sound assessment strategies and a passion for learning to inspire others to pursue engineering, the arts and technology as means for creative self-expression and exploration. I have been with MNTHS since the school opened up, and I take great pride in our school and our school district.
I taught a variety of courses that included engineering, digital animation, graphic design and theatre, and I am also the lead mentor and head coach for Manor New Tech's Award-Winning robotics team FRC 2789: Team TEXplosion.
I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Radio-Television-Film and a Master of Arts in STEM Education with an emphasis in Engineering, both degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley, where I also taught for three years before coming to Manor, and my first career was in broadcast journalism working for news departments in various television stations.
