“Our species needs, and deserves, a citizenry with minds wide awake and a basic understanding of how the world works.”
— Carl Sagan
Technology is the future -- it's fun, and anybody can do it. Computers, the Internet and smartphones are not magic, and it is vitally important that we develop future citizens that not only understand this, but are also confident in using and developing this technology.
I have 20 plus years experience working with Technology -- 10 of which I spent at the corporate level where I worked my way up from Data Entry clerk to Network Systems Engineer and 10 of which I spent honing my Internet, website design/development, HTML, graphics, and social media skills. With me, students can explore how computers and the Internet came about and how they work, they can learn how to effectively utilize Microsoft Office and Google Drive, they can learn the proper way to conduct themselves online, and they can learn the beginnings of programming, game design, and robotics. I will help them keep up with the latest and greatest trends in Technology and understand that they too can make a contribution.
In addition to my career in Information Technology, I am an Artist, a creator of scrap metal wall sculptures and decoupage paintings, and I have been a Summer Stock Actress, Fitness Instructor, and private English Tutor (while living in Poland.)
