Manor New Tech High School Golfer Olivia Vargas placed 4th in the Joe Riley Invitational Tournament on Tuesday at the ShadowGlen Golf Course. She shot a 90 in tough, windy conditions.
Vargas competed against 60 players from seven different schools, most of them in district. The outing comes off a strong performance from the Girls Shrimp Open in February, where Vargas finished in second place.
The Invitational was good practice, as the MHS Golf team begins district play soon. The team will host a district tournament at ShadowGlen April 10th & 11th.
