HB5 Info

The 83rd Regular Session of the Texas Legislature passed a sweeping education reform bill named House Bill 5 (HB5) that became effective with the Governor’s signature in June 2013.  This bill codified changes to the Texas Education Code (TEC) in a number of areas including curriculum, accountability, assessment, graduation requirements, and accreditation. There are a number of files listed on the bottom of this website to assist with HB5 planning.
